We've put together a list of the 15 questions we seem to get asked most frequently.

What areas do you serve?
  • Clean Popo grew its roots serving clients in Hoboken, but now travels all over Hudson County to service the homes and offices of our many happy clients. We mainly focus our residential division in servicing the following cities: Hoboken, Jersey City, Secaucus, Union City, Weehawken, West New York, Guttenberg, North Bergen, and Edgewater. We've been known to make it across the river to Manhattan every once and a while too.

Are you insured?
  • Yes, we are fully bonded and insured.

Do I have to be at home for the cleaning?
  • Only if you want to. Many of our clients contract cleaning services to be completed while they are at work, the gym, walking their dog, or grabbing a bite to eat. Although we understand the desire of some of our clients to remain in their home during the cleaning service, we have found that we can usually give a more efficient and effective cleaning service, especially in smaller spaces, when we are left to do what we do best.
  • We can hold your keys in our specially designed secure storage system created with the security of your home or office in mind. 
  • You can leave the keys with your doorman or concierge and arrange their return after the service.

I have a pet and don't plan to be there when the cleaning occurs. Do I need to do anything special?
  • Our Housekeepers are pet friendly and will be happy to get to know your pets and let them get used to us.  You won't need to lock them up on cleaning day,  but if you have a territorial, protective, or aggressive animal that behaves in a threatening manner when the Housekeepers doing their job, we require that you let us know this in advance so we can come up with a solution that works for you, your pets, and our Housekeepers.  We want your pets to be happy and comfortable, but will not jeopardize the safety of our team.

What do I have to do before the cleaning ?
  • So that the cleaning service we provide can be done as effectively and efficiently as possible, we ask that you put away any clothing, toys or other general household items that might be laying around. This will allow us give your home the cleaning it deserves.

Will I have the same cleaning person every time?
  • We understand our clients and personnel can often form connections and understanding of one another, making it hard to have anyone else clean your home. For this reason, although not possible to guarantee, we strive to have the same Housekeepers assigned to your home for every clean.
What methods of payment are accepted?
  • We accept payments of cash, check, and major credit cards at time of service. Or you can even Pay Online!

How do you price your services?
  • Our prices are reasonable and competitive. The five primary factors in estimating cost are: 
  1. Square footage of the space you would like cleaned
  2. Depth of clean required
  3. Frequency of service
  4. Time needed to complete job
  5. Add-on services such as inside & out fridge cleaning

Will I get a discount for referring someone?
  • We reward customers for every referral!

Is it expected to tip the cleaning staff?
  • Although not expected or required, many of our clients like to leave a little something extra for the Housekeepers. It is completely up to you, but is with out a doubt greatly appreciated. 

What is your policy for cancellations?
  • All we ask is at least 48-hour notice. If notice is not provided within 48-hours of a scheduled service, a cancellation fee may result.

What cleaning products do you use?
  • It's your choice, but we typically use off-the-shelf cleaning products that our clients tell us they like.  We are fully equipped to bring everything needed to thoroughly clean from top to bottom, but if you prefer to provide some or all supplies and equipment, that is fine as well! We are happy to perform your cleaning service using whatever products you prefer.  Some clients want only Eco-Friendly and natural products; other clients LOVE the smell of PineSol and Fabuloso.  So, again, we gladly provide whatever products you want us to use.  Just let us know your preference.

Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
  • Customer satisfaction is our primary goal. It is very important to us that you let us know if you have even the most minor of concerns with our service. If you notice anything about your cleaning service that you aren't happy with, please let us know immediately. We are committed total quality management, which means improving the quality of your service every single time.
  • If you plan to be out of your home while a cleaning is being performed, we recommend that you request the Team Leader call you 30 minutes prior to job completion. To guarantee your satisfaction, we have implemented an approval process. We recommend scheduling your cleaning appointment on a day you will be available to approve the job. If you have any issues and/or concerns at the time of service, we can address them then and there.

What are your hours?
  • Our goal is to service your house how you want it and when you want it. In order to satisfy this goal, we maintain early and late hours.
